ROL People Get Together for New Year’s Eve Parties – Hilarity Ensues…

I don’t know what you were doing on New Year’s Eve, but if you didn’t make one of the New Year’s Eve parties hosted by members of ROL then you missed out on some fun!  Five homes were opened up for the parties and dozens of people showed up for great food, conversation, and seeing in 2009 with prayer and communion. Check out the picture gallery below to see just a glimpse of the fun that was had…

Special thanks to the following people who displayed some great hospitality by inviting people to their homes: Tony and Becca Echols; Quinton and Joy Cook; Mike and Kim Wells; John and Sonja McCaleb; and Bobby and Tricia Rosson.  Their hospitality gave everyone a chance to see first-hand how wonderful true Christian community can be.

Let’s do it again next year!

We went to the Resonate party at the Echols’ house and it was a blast! Tony and Becca did an awesome job with food and fun for all the youth! It was obscenely loud all night but it was worth the ringing ears the next day! I know that all of the Resonate bunch would agree with me in saying thanks to Tony and Becca and that it was a ton of fun!

Tammy and I had a fun time at the Wells House. There was a lot of laughter, funny Mike Wells story and a strange (and I do mean “unaccounted for” three-tap knock during our communion at midnight. Kim Wells went immediatly to check the door and no one was there. It was also interesting that some heard the knockl and some did not. ((Lots of interesting throughts on this.)) Be blessed and stay lightly stressed.

So, what’s keeping you from leaving a short comment? Time, stress…nothing to say??? Happy New Year friends.

    Stop and leave a comment.

Yah, that pic with me, Pastor JUstin and Cody is kindof a bad memory. To me it is because at that tiime Pastor Justin was singing “I’m every woman” on American Idol.

oh my goodness! these are awesome! i loved going to the Echol’s house! it was soo much fun!

  • Margaret Dearmon

I had a great time at the Rosson’s house. Thanks Trish and Bobby for opening your house. I am glad that I am going to a church now that cares about the people in the church and gives the opportunity for the get togethers where we can meet people and enjoy the fellowship of church members.

  • BECKY

I hit the teen party 1st and didn’t want to leave, what does this mean??? lol
Had a great time at the Wells as usaul. The knock was definitly interesting during our midnight time of prayer!! God is moving at the River of Life…

  • Kimmy

I am guilty for most of these photos, and proud of it! I had a blast! I admit at first I didn’t want to leave the house since my son was at his dad’s, but I’m glad that I did. The Echols house rocked! At times I was the oldest one there (so depressing at only 32!). Then I went to the Cooks and had another blast! Right at midnight Quinton read from 1 Cor and then we took communion together. I love my ROL tribe!

  • Carolyn

Thanks, Mike & Kim for a fun night, especially the food & stories. Loved the fellowship with my church family. I definitely heard the knock during communion at midnight. God stood at the door knocking and we invited Him in. Expecting great things of the Lord at ROL this year. All is fine in 2009.

Thanks John and Sonja for a great night. Lots of fun, good food, and great fellowship to start our new year. The Eggnog pie was the BOMB! Lolita will pass out the recipe after the fast. Our family was truly blessed.
